Mucho waves, Happy days!

Well I am writing this with a beer in hand and a smile on my face.
El Zone surf break 2km away. Me and a lovely local guy Johnathon arrived at the beach after a short bus ride, and looked out to the point. There we saw right and left handers breaking beautifully.
We couldn't tell exactly how big because there were no surfers out.
So out we paddled.
For the next 2 hours we had constant, and I mean constant perfect waves.
Me being goofy, I just got the lefts, lots and lots and lots of lefts!

3 hours of waves to myself

sw swell has been coming for the last week so El Palmarcito has had a rocking left hander. Because of the lack of crowds we're literally taking it turns to get wave after wave.
The local guys here are so cool. They are the friendliest bunch of surfers you could wish to meet. Everyone's just whopping each other into waves.
Caught so many waves, had to retire for a cold beer and watch some action. Afternoon session just as good a the morning. Max amount of surfers in the water all day was 6!

Busy Summer

It has been a very busy summer! Well actually "winter" in El Salvador. Our son Garrett and a few of his friends came down for an awesome few weeks of great surfing! They had waves everyday, so we did not see much of them. They became very familiar with the local bus schedules, haha. Then we had the Oregon Lane's come down for a visit. They enjoyed surfing, volcanos, ruins and the Reef Pro Surf contest. Weather was perfect all summer/"winter", beautiful warm, sunny days followed by nightly storms to cool it down and green it up. We are finishing up our last few projects and hope to figure out this windows 8 computer. When we do, we have tons of photos to post! Hope to see you here soon, Aloha, Steve and Kimberli

Community Beach Clean Up TODAY!!!

Today is going to be our first official "Playa Palmarcito Community, Surf & Beach Clean-Up! So excited! The local kids are spreading the word. The restaurants and business owners are very excited and happy as well. We have three "unofficial" first guests, our son Garrett and his friends Kevin and Will. They came to visit and help get the camp up and running. Will took a 13 hour bus ride up from Nicaragua! Garrett and Kevin flew in from Jacksonville, FL. Anticipating a very big swell in the next few days, yay!

Looking forward to Officially Opening!

Working hard to finish our goals here in the US so that we can head down to El Salvador and open Hammock Plantation! Have gotten confirmation from many family and friends, yes! We can hardly wait to share our love for our wonderful little community, Playa Palmarcito. We are already planning our first "official" beach clean-up with our foundation,  "Playa Palmarcito" Community, Surf and Beach Foundation. Miss our community and all of our Palmarcito friends and family. Looking forward to checking out all the plants we planted in January, bet they are awesome! The Bananas Plantation was going off the last visit. See everyone soon! Aloha, Steve and Kimberli

Almost ready!

We just returned from a 2 week work trip down to Hammock Plantation! Weather was awesome as usual, we returned with tans! Planning on our first "Guests" the end of May! The main camp is coming along great. The property is so lush, full of tropical plants and flowers and our banana plantation is flurishig! We have seen such a nice change in our little community as far as taking pride and keeping it clean. Every visit includes a few Community/Beach Clean-up days, apparently it is catching on! We plan on starting a "Playa Palmarcito" Community, Surf and Beach Foundation. The Foundation will promote a clean, healthy, outdoor lifestyle. Looking forward to a lot of visitor and guest! See you soon, Aloha, Steve & Kimberli
